Taking part in the joint venture between the adjacent villages of Fonda and Fultonville, PRIME AE worked closely with representatives from both communities to keep the project moving forward with stakeholder approval, while staying on time and within budget to serve the communities’ needs. Our team provided design, bid, and construction oversight services for multiple construction contracts for the Fonda-Fultonville Wastewater Treatment Plant in eastern New York state.
Included within this project were the design and construction of a water main, sewer main, storm sewer piping, the rebuilding of a primary clarifier, and the replacement of a duplex wastewater pump station. The design work for the underground utilities was tailored specifically to eliminate known issues and problem areas. Additionally, the clarifier rehabilitation was a cost-effective way of restoring an old but structurally sound unit back to optimal working condition. And now, the villages have a new pump station with additional capacity and easier maintenance needs, while meeting today’s current design standards. As a result, the two villages are able to enjoy reliable, modern water systems for years to come.
