The U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) is dedicated to safeguarding homeland security and public safety by enforcing federal laws pertaining to border controls, customs, trade, and immigration. With a primary focus on immigration enforcement, counterterrorism, and combating illicit movement of people and goods, ICE sought a new office space to support its operations in Jacksonville, Florida. The General Capital team, including PRIME AE, was selected for the build-to-suit (BTS) project.
PRIME AE played a crucial role as a consultant, offering comprehensive services ranging from site selection and securing necessary approvals from the Architectural Review Board and transportation concurrency to engineering design, construction document preparation, environmental and local permitting, and construction administration. The project, situated in Flagler Center – a prestigious business park in Jacksonville – features a cutting-edge Class A office building that offers office space alongside a secure processing area, catering to the unique requirements of this vital federal agency.
This facility encompasses an Emergency Management Center equipped with generator buildings, as well as a bus storage facility with sally port. Leveraging PRIME AE’s expertise in collaborating with federal agencies, the office space was tailored to meet ICE’s operational needs, effectively advancing its integral mission.
