The Natatorium Recreation and Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art complex at the very center of civic life in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Located in the heart of the city adjacent to City Hall and the local high school, the complex features pedestrian-friendly plazas and walkways to connect the Natatorium to the community. PRIME AE acted as the executive architect and provided local planning, document development, construction administration, and overall project management for the design.

The innovative project is community-centered in more ways than one. Run through the Department of Parks and Recreation, the center was created with an emphasis on integrating that organization’s fitness functions with Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital’s wellness and therapy activities. The forward-focused program development and research for the Natatorium involved defining future trends in recreational facilities and incorporating recreation, wellness, leisure, and community functions into the overall planning.

PRIME AE’s partnership with the city of Cuyahoga Falls helped to create a true center for city residents to pursue recreation, health, and relaxation.
