The foundation for this successful community lies in the developer, The PARC Group with their forward thinking vision and their on-going leadership and management. By incorporating elements of “Smart Growth,” Nocatee provides its residents with employment opportunities, shopping, schools, recreation, residences, and neighborhoods with distinct breaks between town and natural areas.
The planning and design process for Nocatee draw from both contemporary and traditional town planning principles, culminating in a true mixed-use community. Our team not only crafted the master town plan but also spearheaded the process of securing essential land use and zoning approvals. This innovative work even led to the establishment of a new land use category, “New Town” for St. Johns County, accompanied by the management plans for the Nocatee Preserve and the Nocatee Greenway.
