Keeping the Marine Corps Reserves Cool
Marine Corps Reserve Center HVAC Renovations
PRIME AE designed a replacement HVAC system for this 40,000 square foot Reserve Center that includes administration offices, classrooms, and athletic rooms. The building was originally built in 1980 and the systems have exceeded their useful life.
The replacement system requires removal of the ceilings in many rooms to access and replace ductwork. In addition to the HVAC replacement, new ceilings and upgraded lighting are being provided where the ceilings will be disturbed. HVAC modifications include replacing the existing multi-zone air handling unit with a variable air volume unit, replacing aging perimeter fan coil units, a boiler replacement, and new pumps. The replacement systems require electrical modifications including new panel boards and distribution.
