The owners of a luxury penthouse in an iconic Beaux Arts building in Baltimore, MD sought a skilled partner to help them redesign their home. Collaborating with a repeat client of over 30 years, members of our team designed a highly personalized, extensive remake of the penthouse space. The homeowners envisioned an addition to the full two stories of the penthouse that included four private terraces and provided visual contrast to the existing symmetrical brick building. The elegant new design took full advantage of views of downtown Baltimore from the grand living space.
The project was highly complex as it not only involved complete demolition of the interior spaces, but also included the installation of a new private elevator linking the two levels, and demolition and new construction on the exterior of the building. Our team collaborated with condominium management, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the process of adding on to the 12th and 13th stories of the existing building met the client’s expectation and successfully integrated new elements and systems into the existing building fabric.
