The new Hyatt Place hotel is a five-story, wood-framed structure with 142 guestrooms. The project is the first building in the new master-planned Campus El Segundo, a 26-acre development, which includes a conference center, fitness facility, structured parking and several office buildings. Located on an outside corner parcel of the development, the site offers the hotel a highly visible presence to the community requiring a modern exterior design. Clean lines and massing with the use of upscale materials that include metal wall panels and glass curtain wall glazing reinforce the prominence of the building’s site. Inside, the guestrooms are based upon Hyatt’s newly developed prototype, which was recently released.
Extensive patio spaces with fireplaces and a large pool / spa area have been added to take advantage of the warm southern California climate.
The hotel achieved LEED certification.
