German Romanesque Catholic Church Restored
Exterior Renovation/Interior Restoration
The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. Exterior restoration of this stone German Romanesque Catholic Church involved repointing deteriorated mortar joints, cleaning and restoring the exterior stone work, rebuilding an exterior balustrade, and recreating intricate detail in column capitals.
The success of the exterior work inspired the parishioners to proceed with the restoration of the stained glass windows, repairing the slate roof, restoring the sanctuary interior, renovating and upgrading the existing community kitchen, and revitalizing the sanctuary lighting.
