PRIME AE developed a complex demolition/reconstruction sequencing plan for an addition to the electrical room at the High/Low Pump Building. The project called for the addition to meet the existing building at three levels. The existing electrical equipment was to remain in operation for the entire construction period while new equipment was installed. A total of seven phases were planned with the new construction designed to mate seamlessly with the existing building.

The architectural aspect of the project involved the design of four new buildings: the Ion Exchange and Backwash Handling Facility, the Ozonation and Recarbonation Facilities, the Sludge Pump Station, and an Electrical Substation. Additional architectural work included building additions to the High/Low Service Pump Station and the Return Sludge Building as well as renovation of areas within the Filter Gallery and Administration/Chemical Building.

PRIME AE investigated the option of installing a green roof on the Administration/Chemical Building. Various options were examined, and a green roof design consisting of 2 square feet pre-vegetated planting modules was determined to be viable. PRIME specified the products, delivery, protection, installation, and maintenance of the proposed green roof system.
