Dubbed the Silicon Heartland, New Albany, OH will be home to a new Intel semiconductor manufacturing facility within the 3,000-acre Technology Manufacturing District. With a full buildout lasting 10 years and bringing a potential total investment of $100 billion, this is the largest private sector investment in Ohio history.
The massive scale of the project requires extensive work within the City of New Albany, and PRIME AE is a dedicated partner in the success of the facility and the boost it brings to the local economy and community.
From infrastructure updates and expansion to permitting, transportation changes, and more, PRIME AE’s Construction Management and Survey group has kept the project running smoothly to speed up the delivery. Due to the large scope of the undertaking, the Intel project has single-handedly resulted in a huge influx of permits issued, and our team has expedited process improvements to the City’s Permit system. Additionally, we are managing construction for $200 million in roadway projects, $50 million in wastewater projects, and $55 million in water projects between now and the end of Phase 1 in 2025.
Our first concrete impact on the community is the reconstruction and widening of Jug Street and construction of a new four-mile, three-lane roadway. These are the first of many roadway improvements to support the district in anticipation of Intel’s plans to build one of the world’s biggest semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
