The Amerson Orchard mixed-use development in Georgetown, Kentucky was founded on a vision of building community life that would attract and keep new residents for years to come. The walkable community includes a blend of apartments, houses, shops, and restaurants along McClelland Circle at Lemons Mill Road, providing community members with a vibrant mix of spaces in which to live, work, and enjoy leisure. This development of apartments, townhomes, and single-family homes is nestled in an area with an elementary school, a church, a daycare, a multi-use trail and is adjacent to a local college, an interstate, and an automobile manufacturer.
PRIME AE provided engineering services for the 91-acre development, carefully planning out the interrelated commercial, residential, and open spaces as well as considering the impact of and on the surrounding area. PRIME AE’s plan includes elements like a pedestrian buffer with a trail extension to separate the mixed-use development from surrounding single-family neighborhoods, schools, and existing roadways. Pleasant View Drive, which bisects the site, leads to the New Lemons Mill Elementary School that PRIME AE performed the site development for. Design and construction for the overall development has been completed in phases and is ongoing.
Attention to details like these ensures that Amerson Orchard residents stay connected to the aspects that make a development a community.
