Amazon Fulfillment Center

Amazon Fulfillment Center

Impressive Infrastructure

Situated within the Jacksonville Cecil Commerce Center, this Amazon Fulfillment Center stands as one of just 75 such centers across the United States. Operating as a non-sort distribution warehouse, it handles the crucial functions of storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.

The sheer scale of this facility is nothing short of astounding, it spans an impressive 570 feet in width and stretches 1,782 feet in length, equivalent to over a third of a mile. Each day, the center facilitates the movement of more than 3,600 vehicles, offering ample parking space for 1,300 parking spaces and an additional 450 tractor-trailers. To manage the substantial stormwater runoff from these vast paved areas and the 23 acres of roof drainage, an expansive 19-acre pond was thoughtfully designed and constructed.

Our team’s comprehensive engineering services played a pivotal role in this project, encompassing stormwater modeling and engineering to make sure of efficient stormwater discharge. Additionally, a unique parking code deviation was secured to accommodate Amazon’s substantial parking requirements.
