The PRIME AE team just returned from the 2022 Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) annual Small Business Conference (SBC). Held in Nashville, Tennessee at the Music City Center from November 2nd to 4th, SBC brought together federal agencies and businesses operating in the federal marketplace to learn about upcoming contracting opportunities, connect with teaming partners, and support the nation’s contracting efforts.
Here are our top three takeaways from this year’s conference:
1. Record-setting attendance!
This year’s SBC in downtown Nashville brought record-setting attendance, attracting almost 4,700 attendees, and featured more than 40 education sessions. Of those attendees, both private-sector and military members joined, ranging from executive, senior, and mid-level along with several military ranks. Thanks to SAME for putting on another top-notch conference with an abundance of networking, tools, and features for all.
2. Dynamic Educational and General Sessions
The conference was jam-packed with so many impressive presentations. Across the board, innovation, energy, and feedback from the industry and agencies were among the offerings at this year’s conference. Here are some of the insightful sessions our group moderated, and contributed to:
3. Nashville Knows How to Party, and so does PRIME AE!
Throughout the course of the conference, members from PRIME AE enjoyed an opportunity to catch up with old friends, make new ones, and connect.
Speaking of parties, did you make it to our Johnny Cash “Legend in Black” Cocktail Party? Open to everyone at the conference, this Johnny Cash themed event was said to be a highlight of the conference, complete with drinks, good food, and great entertainment! We even raffled off an autographed guitar by Johnny Cash himself, courtesy of Conti Federal Services.
We have pictures from the party that you won’t want to miss, click here to see those.
In partnership with Schmidt Consulting and IMEG, we were also happy to host a private dinner with colleagues and teaming partners at Kayne Prime Steakhouse. Guests enjoyed a variety of farm-to-table creations from this great American steakhouse in an intimate setting. The house favorite Wagyu filet was also our favorite!
