Miller Named Senior Vice President of Maryland Transportation

PRIME AE is pleased to announce the promotion of Kurt Miller, PE, to Senior Vice President of Maryland Transportation. In his new role, Miller oversees the daily operations, growth, and business development initiatives for Maryland transportation including bridge engineering and inspection, highway planning, highway engineering, and traffic engineering.

Miller is based in the Baltimore office and has over 30 years of progressive transportation experience in highway planning, design, and construction management for a wide-variety of clients including the Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Transportation Authority, City of Baltimore, Maryland Transit Administration, Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County. His management experience includes coordinating a multi-discipline design team of highway, traffic, structural, and water resource engineers along with environmental scientists and landscape architects throughout the development of preliminary and final design contract documents for statewide highway, bicycle, pedestrian/ADA, and streetscape improvement projects.

Several of Miller’s interchange and floodway management projects have received outstanding civil engineering project awards from local and national organizations.

Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland and is a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland and Virginia. He is an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, Maryland (ACEC/MD), and American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).
