Exciting news! The newly revamped Ed Davis Community Center is officially open!
PRIME AE’s Akron, OH architecture team is proud to have played a role in the design of this incredible transformation. Originally built in 1976 at 12,000 SF, the center has now expanded to a stunning 24,000+ SF, seamlessly blending with the natural beauty of Perkins Park. Key upgrades include: a new entry courtyard and playground, new building entry, a new full-size gymnasium with indoor walking track, and a teen activity room, as well as upgrades to the kitchen, community rooms, and multi-purpose rooms.
Tuesday’s celebration was filled with excitement as the community explored the new space and heard from Mayor Shammas Malik and members of the Davis and Rowland families. We at PRIME AE are honored to play a role in creating spaces where communities can live, work, and thrive. Thank you to the City of Akron staff and community members for their part in making this vision a reality. Together, we’re building a brighter future!
