PRIME is a subconsultant to Patrick Engineering for structural engineering work for a new substation located on the West Campus of the The Ohio State University along Kenny Road.
PRIME will be providing structural engineering services for the c
onstruction of the approximately 30’ x 232’ Switchgear and Control House Building and an approximately 10’x10’ cast-in-place
communication manhole. The Switchgear and Control House Building will be comprised
of a cast-in-place concrete vault and pre-engineered control enclosure, with PRIME in charge of design of the foundation system, concrete vault, floor system, control enclosure support details, stairs, and sump pits. Because of the high ground water levels, the vault is designed to resist buoyancy and the walls are designed to sustain water pressure.
In addition, PRIME will be coordinating work with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to provide directional borings under State Route 315.
