PRIME provided project management, architecture, civil, and structural design services on the full facility restoration of the Esek Hopkins U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Center for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Louisville District. Services
included conducting design charrette meetings, programming, and preparing design and construction documents for bidding.
PRIME coordinated the design and allocation of space in the building with several end users. Renovated areas include offices, assembly hall, classrooms, training areas, and unit storage. Work also included a new addition housing an elevator to allow the building to become ADA accessible.
This
project is LEED® Registered and is designed to be LEED® Silver Certifiable. Sustainable design elements include 30% energy savings in the new HVAC and electrical systems, re-use of 99% of the existing structural systems, diversion of 90% of construction waste, and the use of online casino recycled and local building materials.
